Our first stop is at the beautiful Scotchmans Hill Vineyard in Drysdale. With plantings dating back to the early 1980's, they are one of the oldest vineyards on the peninsula. They're a consistently solid producer of pinot noir and chardonnay especially and provide an excellent range of wines, from easy to drink now styles through to those. A generous cheese platter accompanies the wine tasting. We then travel the short distance to the Lethbridge Hat Rock Vineyard in Drysdale. Established in 1996, the plantings are primarily chardonnay and pinot noir that enjoy the maritime climtate the region is known for. Close by is the Terindah Estate Vineyard where lunch would be enjoyed in their light filled restaurant. With its pretty bay views and cuisine, you'll have a full a la carte selection from which to select your main course meal. Then it's off to the charming community of Queenscliff for some retail therapy before returning to Melbourne.
