Mornington Peninsula Wine Daytour (Private)

A very full day out with an emphasis on a wide range of wine accompanied by superb food and hinterland scenery.

We start our day at 10:00am and travel through Melbourne's south-east suburbs enroute to the Mornington Peninsula. The first stop for the day is the Crittenden Estate Vineyard at Dromana. One of the first commercial vineyards on the Peninsula, their origins go back to 1984 so some of the oldest vines are producing exceptional quality fruit. After the tasting, travel through to the Stonier Vineyard in Merricks. Established in 1978 by Brian Stonier, it is one of the original vineyards that enjoys a stellar reputation for their chardonnay and pinot noir. Now back in family ownership, the focus is on getting even better quality fruit from the home and grower vineyards. It's then a short walk to the Merricks General Store where a relaxed a la carte lmain course lunch in rustic surroundings can be enjoyed. Post-lunch, take in some of the coastal scenery around Flinders as well as a view from the Peninsula's highest point, Arthurs Seat and the beach bathing boxes and beach around Dromana.
